There may not be people sleeping on the street in the south Georgian Bay area, but that doesn’t mean folks aren’t struggling to keep a roof over their heads.

“It’s the hidden homeless that happens in smaller towns,” said Julie LeBlanc, a case for worker for Home Horizon, an organization that helps homeless youth in the area. “There is a lot of people sleeping on couches and in their cars.” more >


As a result of COVID-19, Out of The Cold Collingwood will remain open until such time as threats posed by the pandemic have passed and is available to our guests 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.  People experiencing homelessness or at risk of this, continue to receive support through community navigators who can be reached by dialing 211.
